COVID-19 Return-to-Work White Paper
Industry-Wide Labor-Management Safety Committee’s Return-to-Work White Paper
In early June 2020, a special Task Force of the Industry-Wide Labor-Management Safety Committee submitted a White Paper to state and local governments, detailing health and safety guidelines for resuming motion picture production during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The recommendations in the White Paper were developed by the Task Force at the request of and in collaboration with industry unions and the AMPTP. They covered protective measures such as screening, testing, personal protective equipment use, site cleaning, and response protocols for COVID-19 cases among employees.
In addition, Contract Services developed a COVID-19 Prevention Training Course (C19) to provide general health and safety guidelines for the motion picture production workforce to minimize the risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19. Together, the C19 course and the White Paper helped the motion picture industry quickly return to work.
